چکیده
Abstract Introduction The risk factors that collectively define metabolic syndrome (MetS) are common in heart failure (HF) patients. More research is needed to elucidate the individual role of MetS pathophysiology HF. Purpose study investigates differences biomarker profiles HF patients with and without MetS. Methods results prevalence was 468 1103 (42.4%) index cohort 615 1433 (42.9%) validation cohort. With a microarray analysis 363 biomarkers, versus were identified. resulting used network analyse underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. profile for showed 43 upregulated 5 downregulated biomarkers In cohort, there 58 3 biomarkers. most significantly shared between two cohorts leptin, fatty acid-binding protein 4, interleukin-1 receptor antagonist, tumour necrosis factor superfamily member 11a, RET proto-oncogene. Network identified 10 pathways 6 all related inflammation. Conclusion Pathophysiological leading likely obesity chronic inflammatory state found these should be validated similar compare outcomes. Several proteins might interesting targets future new treatment options Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Sleep quality and associated factors among patients with chronic heart failure in Iran
Background: Sleep disorders are common among patients with chronic heart failure (HF), and it can have a significant effect on patients’ daily activities as well as their health. The purpose of this study was to assess sleep quality and its predictors in Iranian patients with chronic HF. Methods : This cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 200 patients with HF in two hospitals ...

Introduction: This study was performed to evaluate the prevalence of low T3 syndrome among patients with heart failure and to assess the correlation between decreased level of tri iodothyronin (T3) with mortality rate. Methods: In a prospective cross-sectional study, 91 patients with systolic heart failure were admitted to Mohammadi hospital in Bandar Abbas in 2008.Thyroid function test w...

متن کاملLipid Profile and Leptin Levels in Patients with Metabolic Syndrome
Abstract Background and Objective: Metabolic syndrome called a cluster of several metabolic disorders is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. Genetic differences in leptin receptor gene are related with the concentration and activity of leptin in that these discrepancies can influence lipid levels. We aimed to determine the association between the leptin receptor gene p...
